Troven Ads Optimizer is an Amazon Advertising management tool built specifically for Kindle Direct Publishing authors. It connects to your Amazon Advertising account via the official Amazon Ads API, pulls your Sponsored Products campaign data automatically, and generates a weekly prioritized action list. What to negate, what to bid up, what to pause.

Every recommendation is calculated against your actual royalty economics, not a generic ACOS target. A $5.99 ebook and a $14.99 paperback don't net the same royalty, and the optimizer knows the difference and treats them accordingly.

Then it does the part nobody else does. You approve a recommendation and Optimizer executes it in your Amazon account. No console, no copy-paste, no manual bid entry.

Troven provides Amazon Ads optimization services to advertiser clients, specifically KDP authors running Sponsored Products campaigns on Amazon. These services include:

Campaign analysis. Automated pull of campaign, ad group, keyword, and search term performance data via the Amazon Advertising API.

Optimization recommendations. Weekly prioritized action plans covering bid management, negative keyword harvesting, campaign pausing, and campaign structure improvements.

Approved change execution. Submission of advertiser-approved bid changes, negations, and campaign state changes to the Amazon Advertising API on the advertiser's behalf.

Performance reporting. ACOS and TACOS tracking, spend analysis, and royalty-adjusted return calculations delivered per account.

You approve.
It executes.

Every other tool hands you a list and wishes you luck. You still open the Amazon console, find each keyword, type each bid, and hope you didn't fat-finger a decimal.

Optimizer sends the changes for you. Bids, negations, pauses, budgets. Every action type, straight through the official Amazon Ads API. You keep every decision. The software stops making you do the clicking.

How it works

Four steps. Weekly, on autopilot.

Step 01
Connect your account
Authorize once via Amazon's secure OAuth flow. We never see your login credentials. Authorization is handled entirely through Amazon's own systems.
Step 02
Enter your royalty data
Provide your net royalty per format (ebook, paperback, hardcover). This is the economic foundation every recommendation is built on. Your break-even isn't a generic target.
Step 03
We pull your campaign data
The optimizer pulls your Sponsored Products performance data via the Amazon Ads API. Campaign structure, ad groups, keywords, search terms, spend, sales, and ACOS, refreshed weekly.
Step 04
Approve your weekly list
Your prioritized recommendations are ready every Sunday. Review, approve what you agree with, and Optimizer sends the changes to Amazon. Minutes, not an afternoon.

Key features

Built around how KDP ads actually work.

Approve and execute
Approve a recommendation and Optimizer submits it to Amazon directly. Bid changes, negations, campaign pauses and resumes, budget changes. Every action type, no console required.
Royalty-adjusted ACOS targets
Break-even ACOS is calculated from your actual net royalties per format. A $5.99 ebook and a $14.99 paperback don't share the same target, and they shouldn't.
TACOS tracking
Total ACOS, combining ad spend against your actual KDP royalties rather than ad-attributed sales alone. If you run paperback alongside Kindle, this is where the real picture lives.
Weekly negative keyword harvest
Search terms burning spend without producing sales get flagged for negation each week, before the losses compound. This is where most KDP authors lose the most money.
Keyword harvesting
Converting search terms from your auto campaigns get surfaced for manual exact, with a suggested bid. The winners you'd otherwise never find.
Per-campaign bid ceilings
Set a maximum bid per campaign so a discovery campaign never creeps past what you're willing to pay. Guardrails that hold even when you approve in bulk.
Full decision history
Every recommendation, approval, and executed change is logged with the exact payload sent to Amazon and the prior state before the change. Searchable, filterable, permanent.
Collaborator access
Give your ad manager access to review recommendations, final approval stays with you.
Who it's for

A good fit. And a bad one.

This is built for you if…
You're running Sponsored Products on KDP booksThat's the whole requirement. One title or a hundred, whatever you're spending, if there's campaign data there's waste to find.
You want to know what's working and what's wasting moneyOptimizer shows you the math on every recommendation. Break-even calculated against your actual royalties, not a generic target someone pulled from a blog post.
You want to keep control of every changeNothing reaches your Amazon account without your approval. You review, you decide, then it executes.
Not the right fit if…
You want your ad manager to have final approval, not youEven when an ad manager reviews and submits recommendations, approval always comes back to you. If you're looking for a setup where they can approve and execute changes without your sign-off, this isn't that.
You want your ad manager running everything by hand, outside the toolOptimizer only helps if the recommendations and approvals actually run through it. If your ad manager works entirely manually with no structured weekly process behind it, there's nothing here for them to plug into.
